MY STUDIOS
My name is Jane Fox
I live near Grantown on Spey in the beautiful Cairngorms National Park.
Having retired from my career, I am at last in a position to pursue a passion for ceramics. I work from my home studio and my newly opened studio on The Square in Grantown-on-Spey. This is where I have my work for sale and do small hand building workshops.
1:1 wheel throwing is also available at my home studio just outside Grantown by appointment.
Stoneware inspires bowls, plates and mugs for cold winter days and reflects the nearby hills, forests, peatlands, and glens, whilst the finer quality of porcelain feels right for reflecting sea glass colours, shoreline finds and snow.
I use a lot of transparent/celadon type glazes which are perfect for highlighting botanical texture on ceramics.
Courses
I really enjoy making ceramics accessible and run hand building sessions in small groups or one-to-one throwing/practice sessions from home.
